Sometimes this formula can be trial and error, so don’t get worried if we don’t get it right the first time. We will follow your baby’s cues to see if any changes should be made.
Remember, we will always buy back any unopened containers that you buy from us (unopened and within 30 days from date of purchase). The following information is meant to be a helpful guideline and does not take the place of your physician’s advice. When in doubt, ask your pediatrician!
BEST TO CONSIDER FIRST:
Are you dairy free?
Do you want to supplement/full time feed?
Do you prefer Cow or Goat?
Pre/Pro Biotics preferred?
Diagnosed protein allergy?
Diagnosed reflux? (by a doctor)
Baby spits up a lot (happy or unhappy spit up?)
If you are dairy free, your baby most likely hasn’t been exposed to enough dairy in your breastmilk to know if there is a cow milk protein allergy yet. In this case you would need to start with something small and simple like HOLLE COW to see how your baby reacts.
If there is blood in the stool/diaper, you need to consider a hypoallergenic or a goat milk formula.
If you want to supplement here and there, you do not want to buy a large can of formula. These need to be used within a certain amount of time.
To figure out how much you should order ask yourself: 1)how much formula will I use in a day, in ounces? 2) Figure that 400g containers will make you roughly 100 fluid ounces, 800g containers will make you roughly 200 fluid ounces. Example: my baby does 4 feeds a day, 6 ounces each time (24). If I order a 400g box/100 fluid ounces, that box will last me roughly 4 days. An 800g box/200 fluid ounces will last me roughly 8 days.
